How to set up Sequencher

PC- (Sequencher 4.2)

  • Using an FTP program (see our connection page for FTP instructions) or web browser, download the Sequencher 4.2 and Key client software from our ftp site. You should copy the files to your computer. Opening them in the window from the link may give you an error message.
  • Install the Key client software (KSClient.exe)
    • Uncheck the "Synchronize clock with Key Server" button
    • No "Windows"account is needed
    • Specify the KeyServer address in the Connection box. The address is: 165.91.109.230
    • Click the 'Logon' button and you should get a message that you are now logged on. You will be automatically logged in whenever your start your computer from now on.
  • Install the Sequencher software (Sequencher4_2.exe) using the default options.You should then be able to open Sequencher by going to "Start", "Programs", and "Sequencher". If all keys are checked out, you will only be able to run in Demo mode.

 

Mac OS 9.x - (Sequencher 4.2.2)

  • From the "GTL clients\Sequencher\Macintosh\Sequencher 4.2" folder (see our connection page for instructions), download the "OS9_Sequencher_4_2_2" and "OS9_K2Client.sea" files.
  • Run the K2Client.sea file. You may be asked to restart your computer.
    Note: if you have a previous version of the KeyAccess file already installed, you should delete it first.
  • Under the Apple Menu, select the Chooser, and then select the Key Access icon in the upper left window.
  • Select the "Configure" button and check the "IP Host" button and enter the IP address in the window that comes up. The IP adress is: 165.91.109.59. You may want to uncheck the box next to "Synchronize clock with Key Server". All other settings can be left at the default.
  • Then hit the "Log On" button, then "OK" when it tells you that you are logged in.
  • Once the Key Client is installed, Run the "OS9_Sequencher_4_2_2" file and Sequencher will be installed to your hard drive and you may be asked to restart the computer. The program will now be under your hard drive icon in the "Sequencher 4.2" folder. You may want to make an alias to the program on your desktop.

Mac OS X.2 and greater - (Sequencher 4.2.2)

  • Sequencher will NOT work with OSX.1 or less.
  • From the "GTL clients\Sequencher\Macintosh\Sequencher 4.2" folder (see our connection page for instructions), download the "OS9_Sequencher_4_2_2" and "OS9_K2Client.sea" files.
  • Run the K2Client.sea file. During the install, you will be asked for the Keyserver Address. The IP adress is: 165.91.109.59. You will then be asked to restart your computer.
    Note: The K2 client installs to "Applications\SassafrasK2\Client\Key Access Setup" folder if you need to access it in the future. Enter the IP address in the window that comes up. You may want to uncheck the box next to "Synchronize clock with Key Server". All other settings can be left at the default. Then hit the "Log On" button, then "OK" when it tells you that you are logged in.
  • Once the Key Client is installed, Run the "OS9_Sequencher_4_2_2" file and Sequencher will be installed to your hard drive and you may be asked to restart the computer. The program will now be under your hard drive icon in the "Applications\Sequencher 4.2" folder. You may want to make an alias to the program on your desktop.

Note: You may convert your Mac version files to PC by downloading and running the Sequencher3.x-4.0 converter from our Sequencher folder on our server.
